What criteria must I meet to rent a property from Anchor Property Management Solutions?
We have two requirements: Firstly, the total household income must be at least three times the amount of rent. Secondly, all applicants must personally view the property before proceeding with the application process. This viewing can be scheduled at any time before or after submitting the application.
How do I check out keys, and do you charge a key deposit?
Keys can be checked out Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Friday from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. We do not charge a key deposit, but we will request to make a copy of your ID (excluding military IDs) and collect your current address and phone number.
How long does it take to process my application, and will I be contacted?
Once all applicants have submitted the necessary information and the application fee has been paid, processing takes approximately 4-10 business days. You will be contacted to inform you whether your application has been approved.
What is the application fee?
The application fee is $45.00 per adult.
Do you accept voucher programs such as DCA or BH?
Yes, we accept assistance programs. As long as our available homes/apartments do not specify 'NO DCA', you may use your voucher.
Is the deposit amount intended to cover first and last months rent?
No, our deposit policy differs from that of some rental companies. We consider factors such as your background check, soft credit pull, and rental history to determine the deposit amount.
What if I have no rental history?
Lack of rental history is not an issue. We have rented to individuals from various backgrounds.
What items should I have ready for move-in day?
On move-in day, you will need to bring the rent amount specified, along with proof of power and water connection, as well as the declaration page of your renter’s insurance (with us listed as the interested party).
What forms of payment do you accept if I choose not to pay online?
We accept money orders, personal checks, and cashier’s checks. Cash payments are rarely accepted due to safety concerns, and we will not accept cash if it is not the exact amount.
Is renter’s insurance a requirement, and why do I need it?
Renter’s insurance is mandatory throughout your tenancy with Anchor Property Management Solutions. In addition to being a requirement, renter’s insurance protects your personal belongings in the event of theft or damage from natural disasters.
What are your business hours?
We are open Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and on Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
What should I do if I need to return a checked-out key outside of business hours?
We provide a drop box for returning keys when we are closed. Simply open the screen door on the left and drop the key into the slot.
